With throwback indie rock riffs, twee tendencies and a high emotional IQ, the band offers a quaint but polished playlist with a big sound–and a bigger heart.

Meredith met Jason, Nick, and Fernando while playing 80s covers at School of Rock. For nearly four months, they rehearsed every week on songs like Eye of the Tiger, Billie Jean, and Faith. When the season ended, they didn’t want to stop playing together. Originally, they thought they’d be a cover band – and, that would have been fun too.

But at the same time, Meredith had been writing songs with Matthew Amster-Burton on her original music. She knew she wanted to be in a live band, but wasn’t sure if the guys would like her songs. When they ended up with a show, and three rehearsals with which to learn 5 original songs and 3 covers (well, 3 if you count sound check!), Meredith wasn’t sure how it would go. She brought Matthew along to fill out the sound, and somehow, they pulled it off. The results? Chef’s kiss.

Now, the group writes and records new music together, with lush guitar instrumentation, driving rhythms, layered effects, and fun harmonies. The band continues to explore Meredith’s twee-inspired indie rock and original songwriting, and adds new touches of shoegaze, danceable beats, and a polished sound.

They’re working on a full length LP of 10 songs with elements of twee, shoegaze, and indie to create something new, but also timeless. Meredith continues to be impressed by everyone’s skills, camaraderie, and dedication. Currently, they play songs from the EP – More than a Dream – as well as choice covers and unreleased music.
