With throwback indie rock riffs, shoegaze tendencies and emotional vocals, Meredith Smith’s full band offers a high energy show perfect for nostalgic Millennials and beyond.
Like the best indie rock band you loved in college and rediscovered during the Spotify era, the Meredith Smith full band experience creates a catchy mix of indie rock, shoegaze, and punk. With comparisons to Joy Division, The Sundays, and Japanese Breakfast, her band consists of four other musicians – frankly more talented than she is – passionate about originals and inventive covers. Happily, they’re also her friends!
Meredith and Matthew began writing and recording together in 2024. With the release of More than a Dream, Meredith began to search for the current lineup. After meeting while playing 80s covers in a season of School of Rock, Meredith, Jason, Nick and Fernando continued to jam. And Meredith could tell right away this was who she wanted to bring the EP to life.
Now, the group plays songs from the EP and creative covers, including Wet Leg, Mazzy Star, and Chris Isaak, and are working on new original material. They blend shoegaze, indie rock and punk for a unique 2000s-esque sound that is both something new, and something timeless.
