AKA, the Meredith Smith band.

throwback/twee indie pop from seattle, wa
The Meredith Smith Band burst onto the unsuspecting Seattle music scene in the summer of 2026. After Meredith spent two years in the performance program at School of Rock, she introduced her three favorite musicians from the 80s Season โ Jason Starkie, Fernando Cuevas, and Nick Wright โ to her longtime production collaborator, Matthew Amster-Burton.
Separately, Meredith and Matthew had been producing More than a Dream, Meredith’s own original songs, and recording the EP at Meredith’s home. When Meredith was invited to play a house show, she jumped at the chance โ and knew just who to call. Together, the band learned eight songs in four weeks โ the five tracks from the EP and three covers. Two rehearsals and one soundcheck later, Bob’s your Uncle. The Meredith Smith Band was born.
Since then, the band has taken The Sunset, Blue Moon, and more dope Seattle venues by storm โ and More than a Dream has been heard on 107.7 The End and Space 101.1 FM. They’re excited to be out here, and looking forward to writing, recording, and sharing new music.
